Our Parish Life

You are built upon the foundation laid
by the apostles and prophets, and Christ
Jesus himself is the foundation-stone.
Ephesians 2:20

Saint Anthony's Church

Saint Anthony's is a Anglican Catholic Parish. Attempting to lead lives grounded in the authority of the Scriptures and rooted in the Faith and practice of the undivided Catholic and Apostolic Church. The priest and people set out daily in the mission of proclaiming Jesus Risen to one another and to the world in which we live. As Christians, we are set apart by the power of the Holy Spirit to glorify God Himself. We do this through the daily offering of the Mass, or Eucharist, where we can know and feel the healing, forgiveness and love which comes only from the Lord Christ. In addition, the Daily Offices of Morning and Evening Prayer are recited not only as acts of worship but also as a means of nourishing our lives with the Word of God. Perhaps the most personal Gospel sacrament of all is the sacrament of penance. It is here that we have the opportunity to confess "Jesus is Lord" and to discover the joy of being set free from the world's grasp.

A newcomer to St. Anthony's is always moved by the beauty of the church and the friendliness and warmth of the people. These characteristics would not manifest themselves if it were not for the sacramental life of the parishioners. Whether it be in Church School, at a Ladies Guild dinner, in a prayer group, a Rector's Bible study, at a Men's Club barbeque or in the midst of a St. Anthony's Feast. Our love of the Lord and His Living Body, the Church, is there.

We invite you, in the Name of Christ, to join the family of God which gathers at St. Anthony's. Coffee Hour after Sunday Mass is a great time to meet the people. We hope to see you there.
